With a humble beginning of being housed in two rented rooms in Public School Sukkur, Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui laid the foundation of Sukkur IBA (Now called Sukkur IBA University) in 1994 to fill the gap between rural and urban education. Sukkur IBA University was established with the vision to become a world class university and mission to serve community Sukkur IBA University initially started its academic programs in affiliation with IBA Karachi. In 2006, the Institute was awarded charter as a degree awarding institute and in 2017 transformed into a full- fledged government University. Currently Public School Sukkur along with other 13 IBA Community Colleges are being operated under the management of Sukkur IBA University.
