China Association of Children’s Science Instructors

Initiated by Zhou Peiyuan, Jiang Nanxiang and other prominent scientists and educators, China Association of Children’s Science Instructors (CASCI) was founded in 1981. It is a member of the China Association for Science & Technology (CAST).

Aiming at promoting the growth of science instructors community in China and the develop- ment of science education, CACSI has attracted and gathered a great number of science teachers and science instructors who are working in schools and informal education insti- tutions and devote themselves to the cause of science education. Up until now, it has 638 member institutions, 6,235 individual members, and provincial branches in 30 provinces all over China.

For years, CACSI has carried out various kinds of activities, such as academic exchange activities, development of science education resources, online and offline teacher training programs, science competitions and etc.

The Association publishes China Science & Technology Education Journal, the only pro- fessional journal in China that is geared to the needs of science teachers in school, science instructors in informal education institutions and science education researchers.
