Philippine Science High School System

Established under Republic Act No. 8496, the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) System is an attached agency of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The Act unifies all existing and future PSHS campuses into a single system of governance and management. To date, there are 16 existing PSHS campuses, one for every region in the country. The PSHS System Office of the Executive Director in Diliman, Quezon City serves as the central office. The Board of Trustees, with the DOST Secretary as Chairman, is the highest policy-making body of the PSHS System.

The PSHS offers an education that is humanistic in spirit, global in perspective, and patriotic in orientation. It offers a six-year curriculum that emphasizes science and mathematics and the development of well-rounded individuals. It prepares its students for careers in science and technology (S&T) and contributes to nation-building by helping the country attain a critical mass of future professionals and leaders in S&T.
