
Prof. Jamshedov Parvonakhon
Jamshedov Parvonakhon was born March 20, 1943, Shugnan district, GBAO. Soviet, Russian and Tajik philologist, doctor of philological sciences (1986), professor (1987); Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences of the Russian Federation (2000). Honored Worker of the Republic of Tajikistan (2000). Excellence in Education of the Republic of Tajikistan (1999).
Biography
-1968 – Graduated from Dushanbe State Pedagogical Institute named after T.G. Shevchenko.
-1968-1992 – Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Deputy Dean, Head of the Department of English Philology in Tajik State Pedagogical University named after K. Juraev.
-1992-1995 – Professor, University of London SOAS.
-1995-1996 – Deputy Director of the Institute of Human Sciences of the AS RT in Khorog, Head of the department of Khorog State University named after M. Nazarshoeva.
-1996 - 2013 - Head of the Department of English and Typological Linguistics, Department of English Philology of Russian-Tajik (slavic) University.
-2013 – up to present Head of the Department of Enaglish Languages of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Scientific and creative activities
Author of 45 monographs, textbooks, textbooks and more than 200 scientific articles on the problems of general and typological linguistics, ancient history before Islam, and ethno-linguistics. The studies of Parvona Jamshedov deal with temporality and spectral in the English, Russian and Tajik languages, cultural and literary aspects of the history of the Tajik people, the social status of the language, and language families in typological coverage. One of the authors of English textbooks for grades 5-11 secondary schools in Tajikistan. Participant of the International Scientific Conferences Moscow (1998), Brussels (1999), Tashkent (2000), Dushanbe (2001), Khujand (2001), Khorog (2001), Hamburg (2001), London (2002), Bangkok (2002), Tehran (2003), Paris (2003), Istanbul (2004) and others.
