• Advise and oversee projects and operations of Penang Science Cluster reaching out to over 300,000 students

in Penang and Malaysia from 2016 to 2022

• Lead, mentor, and train 20 program managers and executives across multiple program teams

• Lead the organising of large public events such as the Penang International Science Fair 2016 to 2019, with

over 50 exhibitors and 6 competitions, attended by over 40,000 visitors annually, and the first virtual Penang

International Science Fair 2021, with over 20 exhibitors and 6 competitions, with over 4000 participants from

more than 70 schools and over 6000 website visitors.

• Grew the impact and reach of the organisation from 18,000 students in 2017 to 150,000 students in 2021

excluding the annual Penang International Science Fair

• To date, secured over MYR15mil (USD3.5mil) from several US foundations and government agencies to

support Penang Science Cluster programmes for school students

• Engage with management to identify priorities, allocate resources, and plan strategic directions of the

organisation

• Build, engage and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders and volunteers from local and

international government agencies, industries, non-profit organisations, and NGOs

• Have working knowledge of various programming languages used to teach students programming such as

Scratch, Python, Microsoft MakeCode and C/C++ used in Arduino programming

Teach for Malaysia

Teaching Fellow, Jan 2014 – Jul 2016

• Planned and delivered lessons incorporating 21st century skills in History and English to Form 1, Form 2 and

Form 4 students in a high-need rural school

• Established a choral speaking team, trained 40 students for competitions, and subsequently won 3rd placing at

the district level competition in 2015

• Established and gathered a team of 15 students to form a school editorial board to document school events

and publish an inaugural yearbook in 2015

• Revitalised the Red Crescent Society in school by creating links with the state Red Crescent Society,

introducing first aid training for over 100 students and instating duty rosters for members during school

events

• Planned and fundraised RM8,000 for a school trip for 40 underprivileged students to Kuala Lumpur

• Collaborated with George Town Festival 2014 to engage 40 students in arts and culture through in

international events and workshops
