On November 30, 2022, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway Project welcomed the first batch of visiting teenagers in Bandung, Indonesia. 30 teachers and students from Darul Hikam International School in Indonesia came to the construction site under the leadership of the project management staff to experience the planning, design, construction, operation and the whole process of maintenance.
The participants said that this activity is of great significance, which broadened their scientific horizons, enhanced their cognition and experience of the practical application of scientific principles and they hope to continue to deepen school-enterprise cooperation.
To help teenagers better understand the application of science and technology in real life and to broaden their international scientific vision, BRISEC Secretariat communicate with Chinese companies in the field of transportation and science and technology that have overseas engineering projects to open the projects under construction to local teachers and students online and offline and the project engineers will serve as guides. We plan to make it a long-term activity to improve the scientific literacy of local people and create an engineering world that cannot be seen in textbooks for local teenagers. Up to now, we have successfully held one on-spot activity and two overseas engineering projects cloud tours.
