<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Artificial Intelligence Exploration</span></strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><br/></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Artificial intelligence is one of the hottest technologies rising up in the recent years. All of the largest economies in the globe are sparing no effort or resource to attain the leadership in this area, which is widely believed as a major advantage in global competitions. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and China has together issued the “Beijing Consensus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Education” on June 2019, to offer guidance and recommendations on how to harness the potential of AI technologies for achieving objectives set out in UN’s Education 2030 Agenda. Among other key points, this document urges all member states to encourage development of values and skills for life and work in the AI era, as well as lifelong learning, equitable and inclusive use of AI in education.<br/><br/> This course is developed right in conformity with these objectives. To make it possible for everyone to understand and be able to apply AI, we embed AI learning within real-life scenarios together with graphical?programming and open-sourced hardware to formulate task-driven hands-on activities. Students are guided to solve everyday life issues by programming with AI technologies. Through learning-by-doing, the students also get understand that AI is not something too high to be reached by “ordinary” people, nor is it a fashionable gadget for occasionally having fun with.
