The fun experiment of "Flower Juice That Changes Color" will fully stimulate students' interest in exploration: Why does violet flower juice turn red when mixed with an acid or blue when mixed with a base? This educational activity will allow students to independently prepare the juice of different plants and to design exploratory experiments on their own, thereby understanding that many plants' juice will change color when mixed with an acid or a base, and learning the scientific concept of "acid-base indicator". Through theoretical study, students will learn about the existence of "anthocyanin" in plants. Lastly, the teacher will ask students to use the self-made "acid-base indicator" to test the acidity or alkalinity of commonly seen substances in real life, so as to make science serve our daily lives. Keywords: plant juice, acid-base indicator, acidity, alkalinity.
Bridge of Curiosity is an exciting STEM-based activity to determine the load bearing capacities of simple structures when connected in a special arrangement to construct a bridge: TRUSS. This activity has been presented with an outer-space background story in which the participantsare provided a few goals to achieve, alongside a story line.

Why are the green rice balls (a seasonal Qingming snack) greenish? Why are the noodles and pumpkin pies sold in the supermarket so colorful and beautiful? Starting with the color of food, this educational activity will arouse students' interest in exploring plant juices. Students can personally prepare plant juices and observe the differences between them. In addition to making beautiful foods, what else can we do with the color of plant juice? Students will make a tie-dye work by themselves to improve their hands-on skills and to learn about the history of dyeing. Keywords: plant juice; color; tie-dye

This teaching plan originates from the inquiry-based science education project of Xuchang Science and Technology Museum. Based on the "Sound" chapter in the "Science" textbook for elementary schools, and on the strength of the exhibits displayed in the light and sound themed exhibition area of Xuchang Science and Technology Museum as well as other daily necessities, this project takes "hearing is not believing" as the main theme and the media for sound propagation as the starting point to help students verify, expand and test relevant knowledge. Taking multi-sensory learning as the main teaching method, the teacher will use hands-on practice, hypothesis, experimental inquiry, group comparison and other means to cultivate students' scientific attitude and the ability to pose questions and to undertake inquiry independently. Keywords: science and technology museum; science education; inquiry-based learning; curriculum standards.
